"I consider myself pretty adaptable. It's all about your attitude and worldview. When things don't go my way, on a small or large scale, I'm largely unphased by it. I know several people who get bent out of shape when the little things mount up and don't go their way. Not me. I figure the best way to stay afloat is to swim with the current."

"The airline industry is full of sudden changes, most frequently when flight times change. I know this affects everyone's schedule when it happens, not just me, and all our schedules change as a result, often on short notice. I can roll with the punches and understand that I must respond positively and swiftly when sudden changes are made. My colleagues often complain about it, and I listen and offer my empathy. But I don't complain. What good would it do? I consider myself successful in adapting to these frequent, sudden changes."

"There are so many changes that are involved when being a flight attendant; sometimes you have to work later, or into your day off, or your overnight isn't the same destination you bid for. When working I try to remember this is what I signed up for and I love what I do. I remember having to work into my day off because we diverted back to Columbus because of weather and I had to go to a Beyonce concert. I reminded myself that life happens and you cannot plan when it comes to this job. I ended up paying for another ticket and got to see the concert in a different city and made new friends. My career comes first and it's a blessing to love what you do so you never feel like you are working."
