Question 1 of 25
What challenges do you anticipate in this new role?
Professional Answers Preview
"Even though I have worked in customer service for a couple of years, I have never handled the technical side. Will there be training provided?"
Even though this is an interview, it's okay to admit there may be responsibilities or tasks you anticipate being a challenge for you. You may be new to the role or there may be tasks that are completely new to you. Simply identify a couple of responsibilities where you anticipate a little bit of a learning curve. This would also be a good time to address these challenges and ask questions about them. Do a little research before the interview on any task that is unfamiliar to you. Then list a few clarifying questions. You can frame your answer by saying, "Even though I have worked in customer service for a couple of years, I have never handled the technical side. Will there be training provided?" It's okay to not know everything! And it's much better to be humble in your answer than to pretend you know everything.
