I also read a lot as I understand that having only basic knowledge is insufficient in any profession. I constantly strive to improve and upgrade myself by learning as much as possible about the industry. My education has given me the foundation to start working as an underwriter while my constant efforts to keep learning something new have helped me advance in this profession."

"My degree is in Psychology, so concerning underwriting, there is no direct correlation, but my schooling, in general, provided me with a base that I believe carries over. It helped me realize that I am a better student, co-worker, employee, and better person when I'm constantly aiming to upgrade myself. As long as I stay in the mindset of learning at least one new thing a day, I can't fail."
