Wal-Mart Reviews

Dec 16, 2014
Pros
The great teamwork and the effort that each associate put in to keep the sales up. The bonuses that we received every 3 months for our hard work was also rewarding.
Preparation
Working at walmart required a lot of patience. There were always customers who were irritated by the long lines, or if an item was mis-priced on the shelf. Working there helped build up my tolerance level and helped me to become extremely patient. It helped me to work in difficult situations and still be able to remain calm and respectful.
Summary
I enjoyed working at walmart but because they were short on employees, they began packing on extra hours and would not accomadate me with my school schedule.

Cons
Not getting enough recognition when deserved, no matter how hard I worked I was still looked upon as being your average employee, when I went above and beyond.
Job Duties
I was a cashier. I dealt with money, made sure the customers had a good experience while shopping as I checked them out, and making sure that my area was nice and clean.
Preparation
Being able to work with the public and having patience with the customers. Being able to become a hard worker and not letting anything no matter how bad it is get to you.
