"Within our miniload crane operating system, we continue to see high volumes that are not working, causing products to age. As PC I now have the opportunity to reallocate that work to our warehouse department to pull manually, ensuring stores receive the product. When reallocating, I had accidentally allocated 8000 Cartons, not 8000 stores shipped packs, causing a drastic decline in work available from miniload and causing more work for the warehouse. I immediately partnered with the warehouse team, my boss, and our SOM to inform them about the error, providing transparency that I had made a mistake. I made it a priority after the fact to double-check that task and ask partners if I had any questions."

"Being in the packing department, we also own the mini-load operating system. An automated crane system of 24 cranes that pull and store freight throughout the shift. It is a very overwhelming system and difficult to learn, but I needed to know it in order to run my department effectively. While training I had spent a week learning the ins and outs but realized that it was not enough time, as it was a lot of information. I then took it upon myself whenever I had time during a shift to using the tools and work with mini load operators night to night to ask questions when things happen and why. This allowed me to learn much more on the fly and set me up to drive my department as effectively as possible."

"After finishing training I moved to the weekend night shift and quickly was able to identify the team that was consistently missing in CPH and reliability. They were struggling to hit goals, and they were not being held accountable by their previous OM. "Safety is the number 1 priority in our building, and I identified a safety hazard a few months back regarding our overpack storage. Pallets of boxes line the safety walkway near packing mods, and the double-stacked pallets were leaning over into the walkway posing a safety concern. I immediately partnered with a TM to get the product down-stacked to fix the concern quickly. From there I partnered with my senior, other packing OMs, and our engineering team to come up with a solution. We were able to then install a kickplate that stopped the pallets from pushing and leaning into the walkway and continued to single stack.
